[Japan] Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG, Tokyo, Japan) announced that its consolidated subsidiaries—Mitsubishi UFJ Bank, Mitsubishi UFJ Trust and Banking Corporation, Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities, and Mitsubishi UFJ e-Smart Securities—will begin offering the “Children’s NISA” program.
As part of its mid-term management plan, MUFG is working to “contribute to the realization of a nation based on asset management” as one of its key strategies for “seizing growth.”In response to the usage trends of NISA (the Small Amount Investment Non-Taxable Scheme) and the expectations surrounding “Children’s NISA,” MUFG will begin accepting applications for Children’s NISA account openings starting in October 2026, ahead of the program’s launch in 2027. Additionally, MUFG Group companies will collaborate to establish a service delivery framework for users.
Under its financial services brand “Emutt,” MUFG is committed to supporting wealth accumulation tailored to each customer’s individual life plan. As part of this effort, the group will begin offering the Children’s NISA in addition to the existing NISA. Furthermore, the group stated that it is striving to expand its services and improve convenience with the goal of creating a service that families can use together.
