[Japan] Loyalty Marketing (LM, Tokyo, Japan), operator of the “Ponta” loyalty points service, added the latest survey data to its “Regional Revitalization Dashboard: Local Specialty Products Panel”—which visualizes purchasing trends for local specialty products—on July 31, 2026, and made it available to the public free of charge. The dashboard is available on the data visualization platform “Tableau Public” and allows users to view purchase trends for local specialty products by region of origin, as well as purchaser demographics and purchase channels.

The “Regional Revitalization Dashboard: Local Specialty Products Panel” is a free dashboard that visualizes survey data on local specialty products collected from Ponta Research members.By selecting a local specialty category or production area, users can view buyer demographics, reasons for purchase, and purchasing channels. It is primarily used by local governments and companies involved in regional revitalization—those seeking to understand purchasing patterns and buyer profiles for specific local specialties in order to develop regional branding strategies, such as sales promotion and information dissemination.
The data from the latest survey (survey period: November 12, 2025 – January 5, 2026) has now been released. The number of specialty product categories has been expanded from the previous 13 to 57—approximately four times as many—enabling a more detailed understanding of purchasing patterns at the individual item level. For example, the category previously labeled simply as “meat” has been subdivided into “beef,” “pork,” and “chicken.”Additionally, new items have been added to identify purchasers’ places of residence and the information sources they consulted at the time of purchase. This makes it possible to determine whether the specialty products in question are primarily purchased locally, whether the customer base extends beyond the prefecture, and what types of information sources lead to purchases.
Through the provision of this dashboard and the analysis of data from over 100 million Ponta members, LM aims to solve marketing challenges for businesses and plans to continue strengthening its marketing support. (paymentnavi Editorial Team)
