[Japan] Acru (Tokyo, Japan), a provider of solutions to combat credit card payment fraud and other payment methods, has strengthened its partnership with Paygent and begun jointly rolling out the “ASUKA Payment CV Optimization Service” to e-commerce Merchants.
While Acul has previously provided fraud prevention solutions through its collaboration with Paygent, it has now added new features that visualize the credit card transaction Authorization Rate and improve the success rate of payment authentication. The company states that this will support e-commerce Merchants in increasing their sales by promoting concrete, data-driven improvement initiatives while maintaining high security standards.
With the two key features added to the “Payment CV Optimization Service,” e-commerce merchants can shift their security measures from “defensive fraud prevention” to “proactive profit improvement,” transforming security measures into an investment for sales growth.
The Dashboard feature (visualization of payment Authorization Rates) continuously displays changes in various payment metrics (such as Authorization Rates, error causes and ratios, and distribution by Card Issuer). This allows e-commerce merchants to accurately identify, based on data, “where improvements can be made” and “what the expected impact on revenue will be”—information that was previously difficult to ascertain—and to take concrete steps to increase sales.
The payment optimization service uses a proprietary payment data optimization engine to automatically correct and optimize the information entered by users during credit card payments on e-commerce sites in real time before transmitting the data. By eliminating cart abandonment and errors, it improves the payment authorization success rate.
Additionally, for end users whose payments fail, the system clearly displays on the screen exactly where the error occurred—such as the card number, expiration date, or security code—to indicate why the transaction failed. By identifying and guiding users to the specific error, the system strongly encourages successful payment upon re-entry and thoroughly prevents abandonment at the card payment screen.
Through further collaboration with Paygent, Acul plans to jointly promote solutions that leverage data and technology to address the challenges faced by e-commerce Merchants—namely, the risk of end-user abandonment on payment screens and declining Authorization Rates.
