[Japan] Daiwa House Realty Management announced that it will introduce “TTG-SENSE,” an unmanned payment system developed by TOUCH TO GO (TTG), at the unmanned convenience store located within the “Daiwa Roynet Hotel Matsue Ekimae,” which the company will open on August 6, 2026.This store, the first unmanned convenience store for Daiwa Roynet Hotels, will feature an unmanned payment system that allows customers to complete their purchases simply by picking up items and standing in the payment area.

Until now, Daiwa Roynet Hotels has relied on tenant-operated convenience stores to provide on-site retail services. However, as part of this first-of-its-kind initiative, the company will introduce an in-house, unmanned convenience store utilizing the “TTG-SENSE” payment system.The store will stock beverages, snacks, and daily necessities, providing guests with a convenient way to purchase items right inside the hotel.
The “TTG-SENSE” system being introduced uses ceiling-mounted cameras and weight sensors on the shelves to recognize items picked up by guests in real time. With this system, guests simply pick up an item and stand in the checkout area; the item and price are automatically displayed on the touchscreen without the need for scanning, and the payment is completed.Furthermore, it enables efficient store operations with minimal staff, even within the hotel’s limited space.
Going forward, the company plans to explore the possibility of expanding this initiative to other Daiwa Roynet Hotels based on the insights gained from this pilot. (paymentnavi Editorial Team)
