TOPPAN obtained certification for “ISO/IEC 27701:2019,” the international standard for Privacy Information Management Systems (PIMS), on June 23, 2026, regarding the processing framework for privacy information related to the design, development, management, and operation of “MyAnchor,” the personal information management and distribution platform
“MyAnchor” is an information distribution platform provided to service providers such as corporations and local governments.
“ISO/IEC 27701:2019” is an extension of “ISO/IEC 27001,” the international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), and is an international standard that defines the requirements for the establishment,implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of a “Privacy Information Management System (PIMS)” to enable organizations to manage personal information (privacy information) safely and appropriately.While the conventional “ISO/IEC 27001” focuses primarily on “how to protect information from security risks such as external attacks and leaks,” ISO 27701 is a standard that defines “how to appropriately handle entrusted personal information while respecting individual privacy (PIMS).”
TOPPAN’s “MyAnchor” service is designed so that even TOPPAN, as the system operator, cannot view or extract users’ personal information. With this certification, a third-party organization has objectively verified that “MyAnchor’s” data management and operational framework meet international standards.
Moving forward, TOPPAN will leverage the security objectively verified by this certification as a strength and actively expand “MyAnchor” into the ID and DX service sectors, which require even higher security standards.Furthermore, the company plans to gradually migrate to the latest version during future renewal audits and other relevant occasions. Looking ahead, with an eye toward overseas expansion, TOPPAN aims to reduce data management risks and burdens for its client companies while supporting the safe and seamless utilization of personal information and the creation of new business opportunities.
