Resona Holdings and Resona Card will carry out a merger by absorption on February 1, 2027, with Resona Card as the surviving company and Minato Card as the dissolving company.
The domestic cashless payment market is changing rapidly due to advancing digitalization and diversifying customer needs. Through this merger, the companies aim to strengthen their management foundation and, by integrating the customer bases and expertise both companies have cultivated to date, provide higher-value-added products and services to improve customer satisfaction.
As a result of this merger, Resona Card will assume all rights and obligations, including contractual relationships with Minato Card users. Therefore, customers will continue to be able to use their current credit cards and various services.
