PayPay launched a service on July 29, 2026, that allows users to make donations directly from the PayPay app.
Users can select a project or charity they wish to support within the PayPay app and make a donation starting from 1 yen (points) in as few as three steps. Donations related to the “Reiwa 8 Kumamoto Earthquake” are also being accepted.
As of July 29, donations can be made to 15 projects covering disaster relief and reconstruction, support for children and animals, environmental conservation, and international cooperation.
Donations can be made using PayPay balance (PayPay Money, PayPay Money (Salary)), PayPay Points, or PayPay Credit.Users can access the donation feature by tapping [All] in the icon list on the PayPay app’s home screen, then selecting [Donate] under [Lifestyle]. Please note that identity verification (eKYC) is required to make a donation.
