[Japan] Sumitomo Mitsui Card (Tokyo, Japan) is running a promotion called “Up to 8% Cash Back at Participating Convenience Stores and Restaurants!” that allows customers to earn points at great value. Effective August 1, 2026, “Freshness Burger” has been added to the list of stores eligible for the service’s smartphone contactless payments.
The “Up to 8% Cash Back at Participating Convenience Stores and Restaurants!” program offers up to 8% cash back on every 200 yen (tax included) spent when paying via smartphone contactless payment or mobile order at participating convenience stores and restaurants. Please note that Freshness Burger is not eligible for mobile orders.
Furthermore, contactless payments using the physical card, iD, card insertion, and magnetic stripe transactions are not eligible. (paymentnavi Editorial Team)
