■Cashless Payments Are Gaining
Traction A concise overview
of domestic payment case studies, notable trends, financial services, and the promotion of digital transformation (DX) in retail Scheduled for distribution at “RetailTech JAPAN 2027,” Japan’s largest retail trade show
TI Planning is seeking sponsors for “The 2027 Guide to Strengthening Payment, Financial, and Retail Services,” a collaborative project integrating print and web content.
For the past 11 years, TI Planning has produced the “Enhancement Guide Series,” which condenses trends in domestic cashless payments, security, and related technologies, including“Card Payments & Security Handbook” and “Everything About Card Payments & Security”—a series that condenses trends in Japan’s cashless payments, security, and related technologies—and has distributed them at events such as “RetailTech JAPAN” while continuously providing information through platforms like the card information portal “Payment Navi.”
During this time, the proportion of cashless payments in Japan has grown—exceeding 50 percent according to government figures—and payment methods have diversified to include not only credit cards and electronic money but also QR Code Payments and BNPL. Furthermore, in addition to consumer payments, corporate payments also hold significant potential.
In the world of loyalty programs, players offering universal points are fiercely competing, and they have begun to build multiple large-scale Ecosystems that include the financial and securities sectors.
In 2027, we will continue to publish the booklet and promote it in tandem with our online presence. The case studies and related trends featured in the publication have attracted significant attention from numerous retailers and related businesses and have been highly regarded.Furthermore, as cashless payments continue to gain traction, we anticipate that interest in this area will only grow. The government has stated its goal of achieving an 80% cashless payment rate in the future, and the continued promotion of inbound tourism is expected to provide a tailwind for this trend. Additionally, the adoption of new payment methods, such as Stablecoin Payments, is anticipated to expand. We would be grateful if you would consider sponsoring this initiative.
This initiative combines a free booklet, a card information portal site, and email newsletters.
It enables efficient promotion by leveraging both online and offline channels, as well as direct outreach.
