[Japan]Plus, in collaboration with 01 Bank (hereinafter “01Bank”), launched an initiative on August 10, 2026, to utilize business activity data accumulated on “Smart Care”—an online shopping service for nursing care and welfare facilities operated by Jointex Company, an internal division of Plus—for loan screening for member facilities of “Smart Care.”
01Bank’s business model is characterized by partnerships with companies (hereinafter referred to as “platform providers” or “PFers”) that support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through SaaS. By leveraging the business activity data held by these PFers, 01Bank accurately assesses the actual business operations of SMEs and utilizes this information in its loan screening process.
Jointex has participated as a partner PFer since 01Bank’s launch as part of its services designed to solve funding challenges faced by long-term care business operators, such as the introduction of ICT and care equipment, staff recruitment and training costs, the opening of new facilities, and repair expenses.Member facilities of “Smart Care” could access the 01Bank service site from the “Smart Care” platform they normally use; after creating an account, they could view their estimated eligible loan amount based on linked deposit and withdrawal data and apply for loans.
Now, by leveraging PFer data—such as product purchases made through “Smart Care”—the service provides a more accurate picture of actual business operations.Usage records—such as what and how much is purchased through “Smart Care” and what services are utilized—will be used as one factor in the loan approval process. This will also enable a more comprehensive assessment of business viability, thereby supporting faster access to funding. (paymentnavi Editorial Team)
